Tall octovo hardcover in fine green cloth decorative cover, elaborate gilt on spine and on front showing swallows gliding through soft summer air, top edge gilt, beveled edges, tight textblock, pages clean white and unmarked, the cover has mild wear at fore-tips, rubbing of spine tips, gutter has 1/2 inch start, hinge starting, and short inscription by owner, else still VG. Despite minor faults it remains a beautiful copy, beautiful cover, contains 27 plates in color and sepia, 591pp.
